At Arizona State University, hundreds of students join sororities or fraternities at some time during their four years. This takes a look inside the Bid Day process for sororities, which is how girls find out which house they’ve been selected to join. Carli Clarkson, a new sorority member, explains the highlights of the big day.
This is one of the new sorority members' first looks inside Adelphi Commons, the ASU-affiliated housing for sororities. |
Sorority HousingAdelphi Commons is the only exclusive, official greek living space on ASU's campus. Each cluster is home to a specific sorority within the Panhellenic community. Most students "live-in" their second year in their organization. Each sorority's president, facility director and risk management officer lives in the cluster to ensure order. Fraternities also have the opportunity to live in a place called The Villas, but the housing isn't restricted to only those in greek life.
